Frequently asked questions

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18.6 or later.

Why can’t I find a player?

Check the username and try again. New or unranked accounts may not appear on the public hiscores. Jagex service outages can also temporarily prevent lookups.

Why do my stats look out of date?

Open the app and refresh. Hiscores update on Jagex’s schedule, and lookups can be briefly cached. Recorded history reflects the observations the app has saved, rather than continuous gameplay.

How do snapshots and race results work?

Changing stats can be saved when you refresh, at most once an hour automatically. Timed races compare XP recorded before the deadline. Open and refresh during the race to keep observations up to date.

What is free, and what does Pro add?

The free app supports up to two tracked players and one personal rivalry, plus snapshots, progress views, goals and training guides. The optional one-time Pro purchase adds unlimited tracking and rivalries, timed skill races and following other rivalries.

How do I restore Pro?

Sign in to the Apple Account that bought Pro, then open OSRS Rivalry → Settings → Restore Purchases. Complete any Apple authentication on your device. If you still need help, email support; never send your password.

Does the redesign keep my saved data?

Yes. The 2.1.1 update preserves existing saved profiles and history. Data is stored locally; deleting the app can remove it. Restoring a Pro purchase restores the entitlement, not deleted player history.

Why isn’t my widget or Live Activity updating?

Open the app and refresh first. Check that Live Activities are allowed in the iPhone’s settings. iOS controls background updates and can end Live Activities; they are not a continuous connection to the game.

Do I need an OSRS login?

No. OSRS Rivalry only needs a public username. Never enter your OSRS password into this app.

Does the app collect analytics?

The app includes no advertising or analytics SDKs. Saved history and preferences stay on your device; public player lookups use Jagex’s hiscores, and Apple processes purchases. See the Privacy Policy.

Is OSRS Rivalry official?

No. It is an independent companion app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jagex Ltd.
